Modern Steak is proud to be the only steakhouse in Canada to own its own prize-winning Black Angus Bull, in partnership with Benchmark Angus Ranch in Warner, Alberta. This unique relationship allows us to serve a steak experience like no other—rooted in quality, transparency, and a deep connection to the land.

With over 20,000 beef producers across the province, we’ve partnered with standout ranches to bring you the very best of locally raised, responsibly harvested Alberta beef. At Modern Steak, we’re committed to sustainably raised food and supporting local family farmers who care deeply for their land and livestock. That means no added hormones, no antibiotics, and happy, healthy cattle—which translates to better steaks on your plate.

Our Alberta Beef menu celebrates the province’s rich agricultural heritage, showcasing perfectly marbled, tender cuts full of bold, natural flavour. We also proudly source from Alberta’s best local producers, artisan cheesemakers, and seasonal farms to craft innovative dishes that evolve with the region.


In addition to our local program, Modern Steak offers a world-class Wagyu experience, featuring authentic Japanese A5 Kobe beef—the most coveted and luxurious steak in the world—and a selection of certified A5 Wagyu from Japan’s top prefectures. With limited availability and exacting standards, these cuts represent the pinnacle of beef: melt-in-your-mouth texture, exquisite marbling, and an unforgettable flavour journey.
